The Half Windsor is one way to create a necktie with a neat, triangular knot. It is generally worn with standard collared shirts and works well with both light and medium-weight fabrics.
To help you get this look, we found easy instructions from our friends at Thomas Pink. As part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy group, Thomas Pink is a leading luxury shirt brand that also offers ties, knitwear, accessories, and more.
STEP 1: PREPARE YOUR TIE
Start with the wide end of the tie on your right, extending roughly a foot below the narrow end.
STEP 2: CROSS OVER
Cross the wide end over the narrow end and turn back underneath.
STEP 3: LOOP
Bring up and turn down through the loop.
STEP 4: WIDE AROUND FRONT
Pass the wide end around the front from left to right.
STEP 5: THROUGH THE LOOP
Go up through the loop.
STEP 6: KNOT AND TIGHTEN
Go down through the knot in the front. Lightly tighten the tie and draw it up to your collar.
