There’s a tough reality in NYC: One in five New Yorkers relies on the Food Bank For New York City. The Food Bank works year round to help the hungry, but from September – December, it’s holding its annual NYC Goes Orange campaign — drawing the entire city’s attention to the plight of the hungry.
We-Care.com is always proud to have the Food Bank as one of our nonprofit partners, but this year, we’re particularly honored to be a Go Orange Partner.
Over the holiday season, NYC restaurants and stores are raising much-needed funds for families in need, while media outlets are filling their pages and broadcasts with stories about hunger relief. In all, more than 200 partners — businesses and individuals — will participate in online and offline events. Some are large in scale, while others are as simple as the food drive we’re holding in our office.
We’re in good company too! Other Go Orange Partners include Fox 5, amNewYork, the 92nd Street Y, FedEx, Disney, and ABC 7.
We’re excited about being a Go Orange partner. Even more important, we look forward to working with the Food Bank For New York City year-round, as they help New Yorkers in need.
