“OH MY GOSH, I AM SO OLD!”
Does this phrase sound familiar? Well, if you’re in your 20′s, it probably does. I’ve seen that statement written all over my social media feeds, and I’m always hearing people whine about it on a regular basis. It just doesn’t make sense to me, because half of these complainers rely on their parents to provide them with the things that they can easily (okay, realistically) do on their own. In my opinion, age isn’t what makes you an adult. If you’re immature, you should just be considered a human being that’s outlasted the lifespan of a rabbit or two.
Delusional 20-somethings who actually think they’re “old” need to relax. Recognize the perks that come with being a part of the “elderly” crowd! Now, when you visit family for the holidays, you don’t have to spend the weekend in your old twin-sized bed, surrounded by N*SYNC posters. You have a freedom to put on your big kid pants and stay at a nice hotel.
Of course, unless you’ve landed a seriously good job, you probably won’t be staying at a $3,000 per night hotel with your own private butler. However, you can still stay in a place that offers free breakfast, WiFi, and an epic bed. Basically, if you’re looking for an affordable place to stay that doesn’t give you a Bates Motel vibe, your best bet is to book with a well-known, trusted brand.
You may not have heard of the Choice Hotels International franchise, but you’ll certainly recognize the brands they own, such as the Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, and Comfort Suites. Currently, there are over 5,000 midscale and economy hotels worldwide, so you can be sure that there’s a place for you, regardless of where you are. Each chain has its own personality, but they all have the same goal: to provide you with a place that you’d be happy to return to again.
If you’re looking for the best hotel in a particular area, you can go to ChoiceHotels.com and do a search based on location. Or, if you’d like to check out particular properties, you can click on each brand to learn more. If you do the “adult thing” and book in advance, you can save up to 20% and get a $25 restaurant gift card! Being an old fart isn’t so bad after all…
